NectOne enables companies to build cost-effectively value from their smart, connected products and deliver end-to-end Internet of Things. NectOne develops the interface between the research activities of Prof. Sebastian Feldmann at Aalen University, Germany and industrial partners. The aim is to transfer the knowledge gained from research activities into the field of embedded systems, perception-based process monitoring under use of artificial intelligence [AI], interconnecting of applications with BI-systems and cybernetic applications at the field of robotics, into industry-oriented solutions.

The Steinbeis Transfer Center of Mechatronics and Robotics - NectOne has been founded within the beginning of the year 2021. The Transfer center now interconnects research activities in die field of mechatronics and robotics  at Aalen University (Link) and industrial partners. Especially the know-how transfer and support at complex development activities is focussed in future activities. Link

The Team of NectOne provide many thanks to all attendees of the 3rd intercultural workshop at NectOne in Essen. It was a great and successful event. We were pleased to welcome the Japanese delegation of Professor Hiroshi Kubo, Ph.D.  (Chiba Institute of Technology),  of Professor Dr. Shigeru Kuchii (Vice-President of the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics at the National Institute of Technology, Kitakyushu College), Haruna Asai (Nagoya Institute of Technology), Dr. Eng. Yuichi Tanaka (National Institute of Technology, Kumamoto College) and Professor Dr. Eng. Sumio Ohno (Tokyo University of Technology). Of course we provide many thanks to PTC-Japan for organisation and inspiration by their technology. Additionally we want to thank Dr. -Ing. Tobias Bruckmann head of the robotics department at the chair of Mechatronics of the University Duisburg-Essen.

In April 2017 Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Feldmann publishes in cooperation with the igus GmbH an e-book that deals with the subject of Low Cost Robotics. The e-book is accessible for free after registering by e-mail.
The website and the book targets interested readers that are planning to use robotic technology and provides detailed Information about the topic low cost robotics in industrial use cases. For example, it is explained what it means to use low-cost robots at a scientific chair or in a industrial company, e.g. at the production process. The ready will be updated information about what dangers and risks exists beginning from the planning process and ending at the implementation at the facility. Furthermore it will be outlined in what way this technology has developed in the course of industrial history. Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Feldmann also goes into detail at different kinds of use cases of Low Cost Robotics, their investment costs  and compares it against of conventional industrial robots.
